Why Does Mental Health Matter

Life is stressful. Balancing all the commitments we have can be tough. It’s normal to feel overwhelmed at times. Most often, we bounce back on our own, but sometimes we get stuck. Feeling well – finding your emotional balance – is a journey worth taking. You are not alone and you don’t have to suffer in silence.

BeWellVa is a resource to help you find your path to emotional well-being. Communities across central Virginia and surrounding areas are coming together to raise awareness about suicide and the importance of developing and maintaining positive mental health. There are programs and trainings to help you – or someone you love – understand and cope with life’s challenges.

Our ability to live peacefully, laugh hardily and love fully matters and is available to everyone. Find out what’s happening in your community  and be well Virginia.
